Paul Foulkes-Arellano studied modern languages and linguistics at Cambridge University, focusing nowadays on the preservation of endangered languages.
He has worked in design since 1989, having held senior positions at London's biggest agencies. He chairs a number of brand design competitions, and is a regular speaker on sustainable packaging.
His current focus is raising awareness about next generation plant-based and agriwaste materials in all areas of manufacturing, but particularly for apparel and packaging.
Paul is determined to do something about the devastating effects of plastic pollution, and in 2017 joined forces with international campaign group A Plastic Planet as their Packaging Advisor.
In January 2019 Paul founded the Sustainable Design Alliance, an international alliance of sustainable design professionals working on global solutions for a healthier planet with hubs in San Francisco, London and Melbourne.
